Great Island Productions / Ireland

Production
Services.

Your Irish production partner.

Cork Harbour

Irish base. International outlook.

Based in Cork.
Built around your production.

One Irish point of contact. Support shaped around your story, schedule and budget.

Great Island Productions welcomes conversations with international producers planning to work in Ireland. We can help define the Irish production scope, explore locations and assemble the appropriate production and specialist support for your project.

Cork is our base, not a boundary. Whether your story calls for Galway, Dublin, Cork or elsewhere in Ireland, the location comes first. The team, facilities and logistics should follow the needs of the production.

A project-specific approach

From first conversation
to an Irish production plan.

01

Planning & feasibility

Explore the Irish scope, indicative budgets, scheduling and practical requirements before committing to a production plan.

02

Locations & local support

Coordinate location research, scouting and permissions, with crew, equipment and facilities considered around the chosen locations.

03

Production coordination

Bring together the line-production, logistics and production-accounting support appropriate to the scale and scope agreed with you.

04

Section 481 coordination

Coordinate specialist advice on eligibility, project company structures, certification and compliance, working alongside your existing advisers where appropriate.

A sense of place

City. Coast. Character.

A few perspectives from our home region. Your production's location search can take us further.

Ireland's film tax credit

Section 481.
The right structure from the start.

For qualifying film and television projects, Section 481 can form an important part of the Irish financing plan. We can coordinate early eligibility review, a project-specific company structure and specialist advice.

The eligible producer company makes the claim, with production costs incurred through its project-specific qualifying company, or SPV. Company eligibility, project certification and expenditure requirements apply; relief is not automatic.

Each project requires individual tax and legal advice. The scope of Great Island's role and the specialist team are agreed before engagement.
