This notice explains browser storage and optional external content on this website. We do not add visitor analytics or advertising trackers. You can use the website and contact us without allowing YouTube or Google Maps.
Your choices
YouTube thumbnails and players and the embedded Google Map are blocked by default. Each service loads only after you explicitly allow it. Scrolling, opening a project or continuing to browse does not give permission.
You can allow either service separately, reject both, or allow both in Cookie settings. No optional service is preselected on a first visit. Ordinary external links take you to another website only when you follow them.
Remembering settings
After you make a choice, we use this website's local storage on your browser to remember it. The entry is named great-island-content-consent-v1 and contains the two permission choices, a version number, the time saved and its expiry. It does not contain your name, email address or message, and is not sent to an analytics service.
This preference storage is used solely to honour your requested settings. A saved choice is valid for up to 180 days from your last explicit change. After expiry, optional content is blocked until you allow it again. Clearing browser storage also removes the saved choice. If your browser prevents storage, a choice applies only to the current page.
YouTube
Allowing YouTube loads video thumbnails from YouTube and lets you select embedded videos. Selecting a video loads a player from youtube-nocookie.com. That player address does not mean that no information is shared or that all tracking is prevented.
Google receives connection and usage information, which can include your IP address, browser details and video interactions. Its services may use cookies or similar storage for service operation, security, preferences, measurement and personalised content or advertising, depending on your browser and Google account settings. The provider determines the storage names and lifetimes.
Google Maps
Allowing Google Maps connects your browser to Google to display and operate the interactive location map. Google receives connection information and may use cookies or similar storage and information associated with your Google account under its own terms. These are controlled by Google, not by our enquiry service.
The contact address and telephone number remain available without the map. The Open in Maps link is an alternative external link; following it leaves our website and Google's own terms apply.
Changing your mind
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Turn off a service and save your choices, or choose Reject optional content. We remove its embedded content from the open page and block further loads. Changes also apply to other open pages on the same website when your browser supports saved preferences.
Withdrawal stops future loads from our website; it does not undo information already sent to Google or remove cookies or data stored on Google's domains. You can manage those through your browser and Google account controls. Permission on this website is not an instruction to Google to delete your account data.
Other website features
Our locally hosted images, fonts, carousel and MP4 videos do not require permission for Google content. The enquiry form does not use an advertising tracker or a third-party consent service. Necessary hosting or security connection information is distinct from optional browser tracking and is described in our Privacy Notice.
